PRIVACY POLICY - Off My Mind

Your privacy matters. This app is designed with privacy in mind.

1. What Data Does the App Collect?

User-Generated Content (stored locally):

  • Idea Texts: Titles, descriptions, categories
  • Tags: Self-chosen keywords (Premium only)
  • Photos: Optional from photo library (only when user chooses)
  • Epitaphs: Witty sayings for ideas
  • App Settings: Design theme, Face ID on/off

Data that is NOT collected:

  • No user accounts or registration
  • No analytics or tracking
  • No crash reports
  • No device information
  • No location data
  • No usage statistics
  • No advertising IDs

2. Where is Data Stored?

Primary: Local Storage (iPhone/iPad)

  • Core Data: All ideas and tags
  • UserDefaults: App settings
  • Photo Library: Only when user selects

Optional: iCloud (only when user enables)

  • Synchronization between your own devices
  • Stays within your personal Apple ID
  • User can enable/disable

3. Permissions

Requested Permissions:

  1. Photo Library: "Off My Mind needs access to your photo library to add visual memories to your thoughts"
  2. Face ID/Touch ID: For app lock (optional)

NO other permissions

  • No camera access
  • No microphone
  • No location
  • No contacts

4. Data Transmission

Only Apple Services:

  • App Store: For in-app purchases
  • iCloud: Only when user enables
  • No external tracking or analytics

User-Controlled Sharing:

  • Gravestone images via iOS Share Sheet
  • Save to photo library

5. Legal Compliance

App Store Privacy Label: "Data not collected"

Justification:

  • All data stays local on device
  • No external data transmission except Apple services
  • iCloud is optional and stays in user's Apple account
