TextDeck
Your AI prompts, but reusable.
TextDeck turns prompts into templates with variables. {{Name}}, {{Topic}}, {{Language}} — fill them in, the result lands in your clipboard. On-device AI (Apple Intelligence) improves prompts and suggests placeholders — fully private, no servers. Plus the Global Prompt Library with free community packs. ⇧⌘P brings it up anywhere. iCloud sync between Mac and iPhone. Free.

PRIVACY POLICY - TextDeck
Your privacy matters. TextDeck was built to efficiently manage your AI prompts — not to collect your data. TextDeck is free, with no account and no tracking.
1. What Data Does the App Process?
Locally Stored Data:
- Prompt Templates: Self-created templates with variables and categories
- Categories & Collections: User-defined organizational structure
- Usage Counter: Template usage frequency for frecency sorting
- App Settings: Display preferences and hotkey configuration
Data that is NOT collected:
- No user accounts or registration
- No in-app purchases, no ads, no analytics, no tracking
- No crash reports to external servers
- No device or location data
- No advertising IDs
2. Where is Data Stored?
Primary: Local Storage
- data.json: All prompt templates, categories, and collections
- data.backup.json: Automatic backup when corruption is detected
- UserDefaults: App settings and onboarding status
Optional: iCloud
- Synchronization only between your own devices
- Stays within your personal Apple ID — we have no access
- User can enable/disable
3. AI Features (On-Device)
The optional AI features (improve a prompt, suggest placeholders) run entirely on your device via Apple's Foundation Models framework (Apple Intelligence, iOS 26 / macOS 26 and later). Your prompt text is processed locally only. No data is sent to any server of ours (there is none) or to any third-party AI service. There is no bring-your-own-key option and no integration of external AI providers. On devices without Apple Intelligence the feature is unavailable — there is no cloud fallback.
4. Global Prompt Library (GitHub)
To browse and install free community prompt packs, the app anonymously downloads JSON files from raw.githubusercontent.com (GitHub, Inc.). These requests are not tied to any account or identifier set by us. GitHub may log the request (IP address, user agent, timestamp) per its own privacy policy. The library is open source: https://github.com/JHBalane/global-prompt-library
5. Permissions
- Accessibility (macOS): Optional, only for the global hotkey (⇧⌘P) for quick access
- Network: Only for the Global Prompt Library (GitHub) and — if enabled — iCloud sync
- No access to camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photos
